Midwest Elite Basketball (MEB) was Co-Founded by Craig Doty and Brad Schmit in the spring of 2006. With a primary focus on player development, MEB’s advantage lies in the fact that the camp organization brings the camp to each team, as opposed to individual players traveling a distance to advance their skills with strangers. MEB calls their camps “Satellite Camps.” Over the past 6 years, MEB has grown at an outstanding rate.
2006: 2 camps in 2 states, 1 college coach on staff
2007: 6 camps in 4 states, 3 college coaches on staff
2008: 25 camps in 6 states, 14 college coaches on staff
2009: 35 camps in 6 states, 17 college coaches on staff
2010: 70 camps in 8 states, 24 college coaches on staff
2011: 94 camps in 12 states, 45 college coaches on staff
2012: We will schedule a maximum of 120 Satellite Camps, DON’T MISS OUT!
Midwest Elite Basketball Satellite Camps provide many things that other camps don’t:
1) MEB camps cut out all travel, lodging and road meal expenses. WE COME TO YOUR SCHOOL!
2) MEB camps promote team development. Athletes not only advance their individual skills, they also become better communicators, leaders and teammates.
3) MEB camps improve your best players, your role players, and your younger athletes. This is more beneficial than just a few of your top athletes traveling a distance to attend a camp at a University.
4) MEB camp coaches care about player development. Do other camps really care about developing athletes or do they care about making money? Other camps over-charge and sign autographs. MEB camps are reasonably priced for all athletes and the camp is not a PR event, it’s a skill development academy in YOUR gym!
5) MEB camp curriculum is specifically designed for your program. MEB college coaches provide a secondary voice for your teaching. Other camps may contrast your teachings and hurt your athletes development as a result. We have each high school coach fill out a “pre-camp questionnaire” which allows our college coaches to cater the camp specifically to each respective program
6) MEB camps build excitement in each program we work with. High school athletes like it when college coaches attend their games during the season. High school athletes LOVE it when college coaches come to their gym to work with them. They are incredibly receptive to the instruction because they are in the comfort of their own gym, they are hearing a different voice, and they are ambitious to work hard each and every minute of camp because college coaches are in the gym.

We market to and primarily work in the 12-state Midwest Region, however, we are willing to travel our college coaches anywhere in the country.
