Midwest Elite Basketball Coach Brad Schmidt
Brad Schmit is the top Men's Basketball Assistant Coach at Morningside College in Sioux City, IA. He is in his sixth year as coach with the Mustangs. Schmit's duties include player development, practice management, recruiting, game management, scouting and strength and conditioning. In 2008-2009, Schmit helped lead the Mustangs to a GPAC Conference Championship and a National Tournament appearance. In the 2007-2008 season, Schmit helped guide the Mustangs to a 23-0 start and a number one ranking in the nation.
 
The all-time leading scorer in Morningside College history, Schmit was a four-year starter for the Mustangs. In his senior season he led the Mustangs to the Great Plains Athletics Conference title and the Elite Eight of the NAIA National Tournament. Schmit received All-American accolades following his junior and senior seasons and was named to the National Tournament team. Schmit was an All-state player his Junior and Senior season for Jesup High School in Iowa and finished as the school's All-Time Leading Scorer.
 
Schmit graduated from Morningside College with a Bachelor's of Arts in Business Administration. He earned his Master's from Wayne State College in Organizational Management and Sports Recreation.
