2011 Midwest Elite Basketball Director of the Year Elijah Starzl enters his fourth year directing camps for MEB. Starzl is also in his fourth season as the top Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at the University of Minnesota-Morris where his duties include player development, scouting, recruiting, and film breakdown.
Prior to joining the staff at UMM, Starzl was a Assistant Coach at Southwest Minnesota State for two seasons. Starzl played four years for the SMSU and was a three time all NSIC player, scholar athlete and two year team captain. He currently ranks in the top ten in scoring, rebounding, and FG percentage in the school's history. Starzl was a standout high school player at Columbus High School in Nebraska.
Starzl earned his B.S. in Sports Management (2006) and his Masters of Education and Sports Leadership (2008) both from SMSU.
