Jack Nelson enters his first season as the Head Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Bellevue University following three seasons as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at the University of Sioux Falls. Last season Nelson helped lead the Cougars to a 25-10 record and a Sweet 16 appearance in the National Tournament for the 2nd year in a row. In 2008-09 USF won the GPAC Tournament to earn their way into the National Tournament.
Nelson's primary duties at USF include Post and Perimeter Player Development as well as Recruiting. Prior to arriving at USF, Nelson was an assistant at his alma mater, Saint Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota.
Nelson has worked as a camp instructor with Midwest Elite Basketball for three years. He earned his B.S. in Sports Management from St. Mary's University and completed his Master's from Winona State University in 2011.
