Lauren Johnson re-joins the Loras College (Dubuque, IA) Women's Basketball Program as the Top Assistant Coach in 2011-2012 after spending one season on the bench at East Texas Baptist University as the program's Top Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. Johnson spent two previous seasons coaching at Loras College from 2008-2010.
Johnson earned a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Clarke College in 2008. She played three seasons for the Crusaders, garnering a team Most Valuable Player Award as well as earning Academic All-Conference recognition. Johnson finished her playing career at Clarke College in the top 10 all-time in scoring, steals, assists, 3-pointers, free throw percentage and minutes.
At Loras College, Johnson is active in the programs recruiting, practice design and implementation, player and program development and student-athlete advising. The Duhawks finished in second place in the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in 2008-09 and made a conference tournament semifinal appearance two years in a row.
Johnson earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Clarke College in May of 2010. She enters her second summer on the Midwest Elite Basketball Staff and serves as a Camp Director and Instructor.
