Jon Millea is in his first season as the top Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Mount Marty College (SD). Millea's duties at MMC include recruiting, player development, practice/game management, and being Head Coach of the junior varsity program.
Millea came to Mount Marty from Southwest Minnesota State University where he served two seasons as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach. During his 09-10 season, Millea helped lead SMSU to a 17-12 overall record. The Mustangs advanced to the championship game of the NSIC tournament that season.
Millea came to SMSU after a four-year playing career at Buena Vista University (IA). While at BVU, Millea was named the program's most improved player during the 2008-09 season and was a member of a team that made it to the NCAA Division III Sweet 16 in 2007-08.
A native of Davenport, Iowa, Millea earned his undergraduate degree from BVU in 2009 and his Master's Degree from SMSU in 2011. He is in his first year as a camp instructor with Midwest Elite Basketball.
